Kuryakyn Universal ISO Grips for XJ1100?

Hey,
Has anyone installed the Kuryakyn "Universal ISO Grips 6241"?
Are these for the XJ1100"?
I'm looking for larger grips. 'any suggestions?

kuryakyn makes some groovy/shiney crap, if the grips say they will fit handle bars that are 7/8" diameter then they are worth a try. but if they say they are for harley models they wont work.

Hey what brand of exhaust do you have on your bike? I need to get some mufflers and your exhaust looks like mine and I have no idea of the brand.

OK (do I sound skeptical yet?)
The left handlebar IS 7/8" O.D.; the right-side (throttle) has quite a different configuration because it's an assembly: how is one to know what fits the the left and right sides? What exactly does kurykyn's "universal" mean? I didn't find anything conclusive about it on their site ...
AND if they're suggesting that they're going to replace your throttle grip assembly, just how do you know that it's going to "fit" your bike's handlebar AND throttle cable? (or mine - an XJ11)?
