Fuel tank insanity

Wow...I thought gasoline was high! Apparently gasoline tanks are far far higher!

Strange thing is I believe you could build one from scratch for a lot less. I took a Special tank to a body man and he said he would be able to "enlarge" the stock tank to 6 or 7 gallons where it would still fit a special and still look nice for around 300 or 400 bucks.

I was looking at a tank to replace the dented one on a MS and it is up to 335 with over 7 hours left. way too much for me. Off to a body shop this winter.

i was tracking this puppy myself...

to pull out my dents, boil out my kreem and rust, and paint, and still be not new, if i were to by it, i would go to 3 to 5 hundred,

just painting my tank would leave bondo and that kreem stuff and still would be a part of a 5-6 hundred expence...


let's play the price is right...

salvage here in wichita has an almost flawless standard tank for 75$ i got pics for xschop but he never told me if he wanted it it has a few scratches on 1 side and 0 rust inside. i think i still have the pics if anyone wants to see it
well i have front and rear but cand find the sides or top shots

I have an extra Standard tank that is a little rusty inside but not bad and no dents. I'm in it $45 and I'd let you have it for that plus shipping. However the cap and taps are gone.
