  • rear master cylinder resavoir

    okay i did it again i should have left it alone...

    no but it was crusty and gooey and leaky

    i have my rear mc out and can't get the resevoir off, any ideas...
    i hope it don't leak worse afterwards though help!!

    With the cover off, run two of the nuts down onto the studs, as much as possible, tighten them against each other, and using the bottom nut, back the stud out of the M/C, or just pry the reservior off with a screwdriver. It will come off.

        it seems the rear mc is made out of different material or is it anodized , in and out? looks more durable...

            rear mc

            hey, put the whole thing in the freezer, the plastic will shrink and the alloy housing will not, then seperate with pliers wrapped in a cotton cloth....
