  • WhooHoooo

Finally after a year without a left side cover on my 80G, and hardly any showing up on Ebay, this week there was a bountiful plethera of left side covers, well three anyway, and I was to cop one for $23. It's even the right color and seems to have the locking tab intact.

    Life is good again!

Might even let the wife buy me a beer this weekend.

anybody ever thought about making reproductions of the side covers? I was checking into doing some custom molding and casting and it seems like it would be do-able.

I've noticed I can get alot more things if I vary my description. I try XS1100 (No space)... then XS 1100 (Spaced) will sometimes bring up more things... then Yamaha 1100, then a variation of the top XS description with "side".... then maybe "cover" Then "side cover" (Spaced).. then "Sidecover" (No space).

I try to think of any possible way a person may have listed it. Most of the regular sellers have covered most of these in the description, but I end up hitting the average guy's listing alot of times when otherwise I would have misssed it.

              Good luck.

                (xs11,xs 11,xs 1100,xs1100,xs eleven) cover

search with this. You can replace "cover" with whatever. I started a thread about ebay searching a while back. Do a search, it had a lot of good info. I think it would have been a good tech tip, right next to the acronim list.

                  '80 G Side Covers

I was thinking of selling my two (one each left and right) pristine side covers. If I could get $750.00 apiece for them, I'd let them go, with the bike to keep them separated in transit.
