  • Owner's Manual

Aside from watching Ebay, does anyone know where I might look for an owner's manual for my 1978 XS1100? Thanks, Doug

    Doug,
Geezer and I are looking at scanning one in, so we can send it out to those that need one. I hope to get a little time this weekend. I do have an owners man, but it's in sad shape.

It being the bike season and all, I'm way behind in everything. I'll try to hold up my end of this PDQ.

BTW, where are you located? Some one might be willing to meet you somewhere with a manual to photocopy.

I live in Santa Cruz County, on the Monterey bay. I work in San Jose, so I'm in the "south bay" area of San Francisco.
I can start with my "old" owners manual, and just replace the really bad pages as I get a new one to scan.

          on ebay

Here's a CD that says it has a ton of different XS's (looks like all the 11's) Ebay #230000060489.

*Auction ends in 7 hours though*

Or you could download it from my FTP. Send me a pm and I'll open the ports and stuff... its for 81 standard and special, but no big difference to 78E. (instead of the kickstarter you got a chain to lock the bike,...)

              Hey Strom,

I found an earlier ?78/79 manual in my SUV's glove box that I had forgotten I had put there, and was reviewing it, and was surprised at how similar it was to my 81H/SH manual!!

Vmax, if you'll go to the LINKS section, scroll down to the next page or so, you'll see a thread for a PDF of my 81H/SH owner's manual that I have available for download, no need to "Open" ftp ports and such, it's just sitting in my ISP's personal folder!!

Maybe a bit more visible link or something sould be put on the XS11 page for obtaining the XS11/XJ11 CD-ROM. I know it's in tech tips section somewhere, but before anyone finds it..... it takes a while.
The XS11 page is being kept alive with the "sales" of this CD, or am I wrong?
