Well, the curvature issue went away when I tightened the screws, no chipping or cracking. Similarly, on the side covers I used NOS locking tabs to make sure they stay tight.

As far as the double-sided tape scenario, I wouldn't reccomend it. These badges are all metal and quite heavy compared to the originals and for what they they cost, I wouldn't trust tape to hold 'em on. Just my $.02
