I'm getting 12km per litre, about 28mpg (US gallon) And that's taking it gently But as it runs really rough below 4500, and the plugs are soot black, it can only get better once I get my carbs sorted

I don't seem to be able to gust put along like I you'st to.

Current bike, (80G) milage varries from 33.6 to 40+. Seems to have something to do w/right hand twisting the grip.

35 to 40 on my 81SH. Found out that the walk soon light works now over the week end.

holy cow! i think the last time i filled mine up i only got about 15 mpg. But that was also right after i had the carbs redone and when i was messing around witht them i was letting some gas run out. Hopefully it gets better!

Depends on how you ride. I have gotten as high as 49 mpg and as low as 25.

The 49 occurred when I rode for about 130 miles through a National Park at 50 mph. The 25 occurred when I rode to Reno last year across Kansas at 80 mph into a 40 mph head wind.

Usually if I ride at 75 mph ...with no headwind...I'll get 30 to 33.

I get just about 38mpg on my commute over a 1300+ pass every day. I've had as good as 44 and as bad as 25. Like Maximan, the 25 was going FAST into a 40+mph head wind, on the flats near Sacramento, CA.

The bikes a stock 1982 XJ1100 with a Pacifico fairing, I'm running Amsoil in all the oily places, I usually hit hwy speeds long before getting onto the hwy so, no I don't baby it, but I'm not wailing on it either. My commutes between 45-60 mph, I haven't checked it on the higher speed (75+ mph) drives (the other day I was going 95 on Hwy 95 )

Two up (430#) at 80 mph avg gives me 29.5 mpg. Premium gas and Mobil One in the crankcase. Burl

Averaging about 32MPG using premium, running 20-50 Castrol in the crankcase of a naked 80G. Exhaust is an unbaffled 4-1 Kerker (love the sound) with K&N pods on the carbs, haven't been into the carbs yet, but suspect the PO probably bumped the mains and pilots up a couple of sizes because the bike runs strong and shows no signs of being too lean with the filters and pipe. I usually stay in the 3500-4500 RPM range when cruising, but like to get away from stop signs and lights with a little authority and don't shift until about 6K, which I'm sure I'm paying for. Mileage is similar to my daily driver cage, but it's hard to compare the two when the weather is nice.
