I am the proud owner of my 1980 XS1100G, it is a "Rat Bike", has carried me everywhere, don't look the best but will pass the rest! Can anyone tell me where I can purchase a used or new 4 into 2 header pipe system for my bike?

Ebay has them all the time, either turn outs or tapered ends. They start at $329, if I was you I'd go try they ebay store and see is they have any buy it now. They sometimes go much lower.

I have what you need. It is off a 1978e xs1100. Stock chrome pipes have slip on headers. The stock pipes run back past the heat sheild, cross over is gone and both pipes were neatly cut . the stock mufflers were then replaced with a header on each side. Bolts into place on stock rear alum footpeg holder. Chrome has usual scratches and pits road grime, etc. No major dents no cracks no rusted out holes etc. Decent set for a daily driver. Price includes shipping in continental USA $100.00 e- mail to andreashweiss@yahoo.com Headers have a name on then "ss performance"

WOOOOOE, is right he was about the only one willing to even help. Several other companies and ebay sellers could'nt even be curtious engouh to even reply, so good service deserves a mention. Not sure about performance spec's but send him an email, at least he'll speak to you.
Not like a major Yamaha dealer in Melbourne Australia, I wanted to take my 78E in to have the carbies balanced, and was told that they only work on new fuel injected bikes, seems that if it is'nt a brand new bike, it's all to hard, for some.

                S@#T dos'nt just happen, it's caused by a$$%@$#$ !!!

I am so lucky to have a guy here in Ohio that ONLY!! works on old Japanese bikes. His shop is right on the way to work. And as an added bonus the Iron Pony Super store is about 300 yards from his shop. Sometimes hard to not blow the budget and get SWMBO mad at me.

Your lucky, so far I've found rocking horse manure easier to get and cheaper. Buying most of my needs through ebay. Carb holder/ manifolds from Yamaha are $79.00 AU each and Fuelcock gaskets are $155.00 AU for 2 sets. Cheaper to buy from US pay postage and import tax.

Got to keep the old girl purring !
