  • lean on #2

    79sf
    130 mains
    4-1 exhaust
    stock air filter
    bosch plugs
    6700ft elev

1,3, and 4 plug colors look great on mid and full. #2 is quite white. I was just wondering what you guys might suggest?

I'm thinking of popping the cap off and having a look at the jet needle position to see if it's the same as the others.

Ben, have your thought about a vacuum leak? Your jetting is lean for a 79, but I know you are at a high elevation I know you have done a lot of rejetting, but maybe 130 is just a little too lean for an inside cylinder. Maybe 132.5's will work on #2 & 3 cyls. Have you tried that combo, yet?

The other thing I would wonder about is the float setting for that carb compared to the others, plus whether both lobes of the float are the same.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions.

Yeah, I do need to try 132s I think. Maybe #2 is the carb that has the broken float pin post - I'll have to check!

I will also check for vacuum leak...
