Thanks Geezer. I think the right thing for me to do is get the original jugs and put the pistons back in their comfy home or do the machine work and get a big bore kit. I think I can still get the jugs that were original to these pistons from AW.

    Thanks again for your input.

I've heard that Miriam cycle has the stock rings now. It would be worth a call to find out.

If the jugs on your old enigne are OK, use the best pistons you have in them with new rings and it'll probably be alright. Not as good as with new pistions too but odds are you'll want another bike before you wear it out.

Getting the right jugs for those pistions would make it easier if they are the right ones...

        update

I got all the parts to get this baby going again. Thanks to all. Waiting for the UPS guy stinks. The motor is all buttoned back up. I have one problem though. I ended up with 4 o-rings left when I was done. Oops! I discovered that these are seals that go around the bottom of the cylinders. What are these supposed to seal? Has anyone put a motor together without them? It seams to me that if the cylinder to case gasket is good, they serve no purpose.

          You are "O" so right!

          Hey Walter,

Yep, O-rings redundant, not needed, don't worry! Congrats on getting it together.
