I don't know if this will help anyone or not. I have a 1982 XJ1100 MAXIM that was giving me brake problems. I rebuilt both front master cylinder and caliper. I couldn't get fluid back into the system for the life of me. I finally cleaned out the tiny sprig hole in the master and voila-- instant success. Hope it helps.
