  • 80g tank worth?

I have an extra 80g standard tank. im wondering if i should sell it. whats it going for now days? it is in very good condition inside and out no leaks. it was painted 18 mos. ago primer sealer, 2 coats of chroma base black and 3 coats of good clear. i have it stored in my closet inside my house? just curious? thanks brian

    Brian,
I'm not sure what they go for, but if you let me know what you think it's worth, I would like to try and afford it. I'm working on my "daily ride", and would like the larger tank. I think the 80 was a 6 gal, not the 5 gal I now have.
I may be off, but I think between $75 and $150 would be an accurate guess. This is only a guess, as I have NOT priced tanks in a LONG time.

80g tank cap. is 5.2 gallons, or very close to that. Most I ever got in mine was 5 gal even. And I had to push it
      When a 10 isn't enough, get a 11. 80g Hardbagger

        5.2 gallons

Thats what I've been told. Tho have always filled up at 110/120 miles (gauge reading near empty, but have not gone to reserve) and have at most put in 3.8 gallons. Been thinking about just running her dry to find out how much and how far she can go.

The book sez that the 80G standard tank holds 5.3 gallons. I've never gotten more than 5 into mine......thank goodness.

The 6 gallon was an option, they popup on ebay every once in a while.
