    yamaha tank logo emoval

Hi yall. i have decided on the paint scheme for my project bike. The Yamaha logo on tank will be in the way. Is it hard to remove ? is it just glued on?

well on my bike is was screwed on and take the two screws off and it is off but then you have a bracket behind the emblem and a dent in the tank where the bracket was

Tom, I see by your profile that you have a 78E. Your emblem should be screwed on, unless PO used double-backed tape?

OR, the European paint schemes used a decal. Do you have a raised plastic logo or a decal?

This is what the correct 78E tank should look like after the emblem is removed. You can see the bracket and the 'dent'.

you might want to get it poped out or have somebody weld a piece of metal over the dent and then get it flat then fill with the bondo because i talked to my bro about doing mine and he said it is better to just buy new emblems in my case because if he just filled it up with kitty hair and bondo it would just crack and break out from the viberation

my brother is a body man and he is doing all the work on my bike as far as painting goes but he is a good machanic too

I've heard the same from friends who do body work.
