Does anybody know where I can find a pilot jet for a 78 xs1100. I am cleaning(rebuilding) a set of disgusting carbs and have stripped the head trying to pull it out. Got the other 3 out no problem. (There's always gotta be one that gives you a problem.) I have been checking all the usual websites Partsnmore,babbitt, any other site google displays, even did a search on ebay, no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Oh, by the way, if you must destroy the old jet to get it out of the hole, make sure you do not damage the threads or the conical seat at the bottom of the hole. I had the same prob. and I used a very small bit and a very small easy-out and took extra patience with the job.Mike Giroir

Bike Bandit DOES have and carry the BS30/96 series pilot jets, but they are NOT listed under MIKUNI Pilot jets section, they are listed under Mikuni Accessories!!
I don't know why BB put them there, along with the intake manifolds, valve seats and such, but they are there!! But you might find it easier to go to your local dealer and bring a GOOD ONE with you and get one to match! You need the BS series, not the VM series, the metering hole is in the wrong place in the VM series!

I am pretty sure that it is 42.5 for the pilot on both 78 & 79 models and they range in 2.5 increments.Mike Giroir

I was asking if audijunky's jets had the number printed on the side. But Thanks! Just after 20+ years, I would hate for someone to just assume they had stock jets.
