a bunch of guys get oem type replacements at a great price from mikesxs. Do a search to find which model works. There are also the high end dyna and accels. I know those can be had at z1enterprise.com. As far as the high end ones I am not sure who has the absolute best price.
What we are talking about are HIGH OUTPUT coils from an aftermarket source that will work in place of OEM's, but without ALL OF THE HIGH PRICE!!! The coils on MikesXS are the dual tower high output for the later year 650's with TCI ignitions, run at 3 ohms, and are only ~$28.00 each, $56.00 a pair vs. almost $200.00 for either Dyna or Accel!
What problems have you had with your OEM's?!

get the dyna and use accel wires with no resistor b.s. on them. there is a thread here somewhere and shows how to mount them.... I will attest that this is the best setup...chop

I recently went the Dyan/Accel route on my 79 Special and the difference was very noticable. I did have to make 4 very small aluminum mounting angles. Just make sure you get coils with the right impedance otherwise you may kill your ignition module. I used 8.8 mm stainless wires from Accel. Quality pieces and the yellow wires look mean.

Once you un-can a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is with a bigger can.
the best are the 8.8 mm I agree. Gotta luv chevy too because the accel wires for the standard v8 will do two xs11's and are dirt cheap at oreillys...chop

My original wires were brittle as pretzel rods, snapped wherever I bent them! But the coils were fine electrically. There's not much in 'em to go bad, most often the secondaries go, but it's probably the wire end coming loose. I put Accel wires onto my OEM coils, via the coil wire tech tip somewhere on this site. Did it over two yrs ago, no problems. I agree, the Accel wires look great.
