Hi all:
I just received a Slipstream Spirit fairing and am having trouble mounting it on 78 standard. Does anyone have any experience mounting this fairing? The major obstacle is that the lowers extend a little bit too low to clear the turn signal stalks. I've considered trimming about 2 inches off the bottom of the lowers, but don't know how to cut the acrylic. If I mount it as shown in the "directions", the mounting screws cut right into the gas tank when the handle is turned fully. Also, when mounted this way, it rubs hard on the turn signal stalks, and I'm sure the mounting would eventually crack.
Any suggestions would be welcomed.
