  • Transport my Baby?

Just thought I'd ask if anyone on the West coast is planning a trip through or around KC. And could possibly help me get my bike to Merriam Cycle. I don't trust anyone else to rebuild the tranny and it's telling me it's getting tired. I'm willing, of course to help cover expenses, and I have a good bike trailer if needed.

Sure! Give me your bike, trailer, and some money... I'll be back... I promise!

    Be careful, and good luck.

Ya, I know it's risky. I've got a few friends that I know around this site. Just checking my options.

Wasn't plannin on one DragXS, but you being in Reno, your probably going out on I-80. If you were goin to jump down on I-70 before getting to Grand Junction, depending on when you were planning to go, may be interested just to check out there shop. Take it tho that you don't have wheels to pull trailer. I've got the wheels and trailer, but that doesn't help where your at tho.

          Matt,
The tranny is an easy fix. I have five gears once again, and it only took me two day's.
Merrimans will cost a lot, and I know you can do it.
Let me know if you need help, and I can try to free up a weekend.

Well, thats an option to Ray. I think I could do it, but I'm the kind of person that hates getting into things when I'm not sure what I'm getting into, ya know? I would feel much better about it working with someone who's done it before. When I get it done, I want to go through it thoroughly and replace anything thats out of spec. I dowanna be getting in there again for a very long time. So already I can plan on 1st & 2nd gears, and the shift forks. Dunno what else yet. I figured Bob's team back there would know everything to look for to make sure it's better than new when it's done. But we'll see. I got a couple spare bedrooms and I'm getting my garage set up, so I might take you up on that Ray. Thanks
