78 xs1100 Seat

Newb here - love the site so far! Now... I just got a 78 xs1100 standard. It's a great bike - but I'd like to replace the banana seat on it with something a little more comfortable for cruising. Does anyone have (or know where I can get) one?

I've searched ebay and only found one that I didn't really like.

78 xs 1100 seat

I have a stock seat from an 80 Standard, very good shape. I also have a king queen seat for the same bike but never installed.
$50 fir the stock & $60 for the other one.

Newb:
I've got a saddle style seat if you are interested. Its in very good condition. Where are you in Ohio. I'm in Cleveland and you are welcome to take a look at it to see if it fits your needs.

where in ohio you from bs78xs1100 i live in middletown ohio and i take my bike to the track alot and if your close might have to get together and go for a ride

i have been to edgewater and tristate but only raced the bike at tri state i like tristate alot better then edgewater i mean edgewater is always so packed when you go and your lucky if you get 3 passes in but at tristate i made 18 passes in one day

I live within 5 min of edgewater. I'm just started riding - so no racing anytime soon. I have buddies that race and want to soon. Does tristate have a website - I'd like to check it out and maybe we can meet up sometime.

i was at the dragstrip 3 weeks after i got my bike and ran a 13.282

we will have to meet up some weekend and got to tri state i mean the track is better then edgewater but the facilty aint as good but all i care about is the track since i take my own food and stuff

'80 standard seat

Woodbutcher I would be interested in the stock seat for the '80 standard model if bs78xs11 doesn't want it. Is it in good shape and could you send me a photo or 2 ?
For that matter bs78xs11...I might be interested in yours from the'78 if it's stock and in good shape. Does that include the fiberglass piece around and behind the seat or just the seat itself ?

I would really like to get hold of that style seat and especially the support (sissy) bar for my SG. I had one on my SH and sold it with the seat.......if only I had known how hard they are to find!!
