  • Paint Code please

Anyone know what the paint code would be for my 1978 XS1100?
It's a maroon sort of colour. I have a few pics but can't post them here because I'm fat and stupid.

Oh, would the same code apply in Australia?

    Thanks, Dan Tyson.

tou need a user name and password to see the pic. Try photobucket.com and link to that.
There's always a way, figure it out.

          Stralya,
The paint on a '78 is called "Macho Maroon". I think there was one company in the US that can match OEM paints, but the are PRICEY!!!!
If you can take the tank in to a good paint shop, they should be able to match the original color, from the underside of the tank. Probably the best way to go. You can get good paint, and not get shafted in the proccess.

Thanks Ray, I actually found a website link on the Yamaha Australia page to a mob who make identical paint to old Yamaha paint, and I found out that the colour here is called Graceful Maroon! Graceful? Oh well. Oh, I also discovered the paint code in Australia is YAM/329, for any other Aussies out there.
