    Exhaust gasket removal

Does anyone have a suggestion for removing stubborn, old exhaust gaskets?

Spray them with a penetrating liquid like WD 40 or PB'laster. Let them set a while and pry them out with a screwdriver. Just don't go gouging into the head, amd you'll be ok.

I've used a small cold chisel to cut them in place, then pry them out. Of course, that way is only recommended if you have new replacements on hand.

Heh, funny I was just doing this about 2 hours ago, and had the same problem. For what it's worth, I used a small dental pick to reach behind the gasket and rip it out!

Skids, I think he just borrowed the tool just before your last visit.
