  • Tach not tracking 5k+

    Hey all,
I was out on the Third degree today after doing some buffing on the clear coat and with the cool weather the bike was running great. I noticed one thing though, when in a hard pull, the tach doesnt seem to track from about 5k RPM on up. If I remember right, this didnt used to be a problem. It used to follow all the way up.

Any ideas as to what can be causing this?

    Thanks.

Figured out it was the bearings inside that were dirty.

Does anybody have a wiring diagram for the tach? I guess my problem wasnt fixed, just slightly reduced.

Tach will now climb 5k + on slow increase, but hard pulls it just freezes. Ive wiggled the connections and cant seem to find anywhere I wire would have come loose, but that doesnt mean that it didnt.
