The group from Jacksonville has made it back to Florida (just in time to hear the Jaguars beat Pittsburg), and wanted to let everyone who couldn't make it know that they missed a fantastic weekend for a ride in the twistys. We are already making plans for next year.

Hate I missed it
I planned to be there this year, but had some other things come up that couldn't be overlooked. I did ride up, (I live about 80 miles from there) today about noon, but everyone was gone already. I met a guy from Florida on a '75 Honda 750/4 who was there with his dad. He said most of the bikes there were from the XS11 group, and that you were a great group of guys. I'm taking vacation days next year. I did ride down 180, that is quite a set of twistys there, although I didn't hit them hard. My back brakes are out, so I was taking it pretty easy. I don't know if it was there Friday and Saturday, but there were a couple of good curves with some dirt in the road going down. That was pretty tough too. Hope everybody had a great time."Uva Uvam Vivendo Varia Fit"

180
I did 180 late on Saturday and the loose stuff was on three of the worst corners. I passed a couple pullng their Harley out of the weeds near there. Neither was hurt, but the Harley was dirty!Walt

Bruce, Gary and I came through there just before dark and found a few turns with the black marbles on them too. It looked like new asfault had been scraped and that was what was left -- bigger than dust but smaller than gravel.Bill Murrin
