Nice ride today across NW Georgia into NE Alabama then over the mountain to Winchester Tennessee. Beautiful day to ride
    Staying overnight in Tennessee.

    My XS11

all grins the way the bike is running I am more than happy the way this E turned out.

Mike was wearing the Jack shirt

Mike, his neighbor Scott and I were about ready for another descent ride.
Mike getting 42 mpg and i got 45 mpg. After all the arm wrestling i'm happy with the 3H3 carbs with 2H7 parts and the secret wheel bearing grease.

Will try and take some pictures tomorrow.
Stellar roads and smooth pavement ............ Great scenery too
Did a lot of zig-zagging around on obscure backroads.

    Jeff

With Jeff, do we really know which bike it is?

I hope it's the latest addition.

No better way to start the day than to open up the motel room door and have your bike sitting there

or, after a couple cups of coffee warm up your oil & tires on this road
then go tackle some serious Tennessee mountain curvy roads

            Yee-Haw …………….

didn't see any road kill except for a couple of armadillos.
Did zoom by a monster wild turkey standing on the side of the road.
Always looking with the tree line so close to the road

Amazingly smooth pavement most of the 500 miles. Some just like riding on smooth pane of glass, not a bump or ripple.

              Drag Race

it is always fun to see a little competition, like a good old fashion American Drag Race.

After 3/4 mile the School Bus (the yellow vehicle in the right lane ) prevails and takes it by a nose

3 E's but not too difficult to tell which is which - PO's made sure of that

Yes, latest addition is E in front. That is the bike in the Jack Daniels Pic (above) in Winchester Tennessee two days ago.

E in front is BWI the Baltimore bike scoped out by Duwayne (THANKS Duwayne)
E in middle is GRR the Grand Rapids bike scoped out by Werdna80 (THANKS Werdna80)
E in back in SDF the Louisville pos junk bike I got in 2012 (Old_Skool find) (Marty rode up with me and helped get it unstuck since wheels were frozen into the ground)

Ridden BWI about 1,300 miles so far. 700 around home before the maintenance and 500 miles on the Tennessee trip.
Ridden SDF about 20,000 miles so far. Key West twice, 1,000 Islands Canada Rally, Colorado Rally and a bunch of trips to TWO Suches and Iron Horse. Plus its my local errands and shopping machine. 20K driven so now its tired and needs maintenance.

fwiw, all three bikes have some motor oil & some air in those big black round things

The collective XSive info & support is what gets these things on the road as safe LD runners.
Without that, many of these bikes would be in the junkyard.

Yes, ridden at Rally on Fri & Saturday but parked it on Sunday

A premature showing. Got too anxious to ride it.
Would power along fine on level ground or downhill but no power uphill

Two nearly broken pickup coil wires. Both wires off the same pickup coil and the break was about an inch outside the clip where all 4 wires come together and leave the case. Fabricated all new pickup coil wire bundle from pickup coils to the 6 pin connector by the fuse box. Neutral wire switch now separate harness. PITA but thanks to MikeP we got the bundle in all the retainer clips and it looks like OEM. I used High Temp colored wire in a black plastic protector tubing with 1,200 degree Heat Shield HotRod Sleeve. Goal was to build a workable all new harness and it turned out great. MikeP got the mufflers and exhaust apart too since my efforts to do that were futile.
Also physically checked and adjusted floats to low the fuel in the bowls. Cold start, Hot start it fires up instantly. 45 mpg now so it must be happy with fuel & spark it is getting.

Mike making an adjustment to his Flux Capacitor. Think that he also tweaked the Nitrous Oxide flow valve while he was in there.

Whatever he did we couldn't keep up with him after the adjustments

                            Addendum: TWoS Ride

Decided to take a ride to TWoS today. Mike was busy and couldn't go. Marty up and moved away
Vintage Legends & 2 Stroke Rally this weekend at TWoS.
A quick 160 mile ride for me on some of the best. Some of the BEST SPM riding anywhere. (smiles per mile) when you get it right and do good.

Old XSSE Rally rides when XSSE was held at TWO in Suches. Those sure were fun times. So today I rode Hwy 9, Black Mtn, Yahoola, 60, the diabolical 180, yee-haw on 129, Blood Mtn, Porter Springs Rd then home. Had fun. Tires got hot. May do it all again tomorrow

Motorcycle Legends and 2 Stroke Rally at Suches

Beautiful day and a great turn out. Fantastic group of 1980's and 1990's bikes
Entire parking area was filled as was across the street.

Fun to hear some 2-strokes rippin' the twisties today. The big 80's and 90's racers too. Good sounds …………………….

Things of interest on todays 160 miler: Deer in the road on Black Mtn Road that kind of got my attention and brakes, big brown horse and cowboy going downhill on 60 a couple miles past Woody Gap / Appalachian Trail, a jeep with jumbo tire driving over the double yellow line. A squirrel and something big like a woodchuck that got hit.

Really fun to see so many riders and their 80's and 90's bikes in such mint condition enjoying all the curves.
