  • Savannah River Run

    November 11th. Bored.
    Beautiful Sunny Day. 78 Degrees.

What to do but call jetmech and go ride. Forgot to call Brent though
    Lots of great backroads.

Savannah River river rest stop. My E and Marty's SG

Went to Cam's Cafe in Iva South Carolina for a late lunch. Then north up to SC11 the Foothill Parkway. Beautiful sunset views of the mountains. Staying overnight in Travelers Rest, SC.

I just arrived home, just as it was getting dark.

We figured out why this place was so busy. Lunch was great!

          Warwoman Road

We had two days of perfect weather. Temps in the 60's and 70's. I got to explore places in Georgia and South Carolina that I had never visited. The fall colors are peaking, with the leaves sometimes making a rooster tail in the rear view mirror.

We played some tachometer games today. I'll put that in a new thread.

I came around a bend and had an opposite direction tractor-trailer using two thirds of my lane. I was able to change my line to the outside and clear without much trouble. I still had to stop and talk about it to shake it off. Had I been wringing it out, you may well be reading Jeff's post about how I was killed instantly when I met a big rig head-on at speed. For those of you who come to XS Southeast, I believe it happened on rt 107 going to Cashiers.

                      Hey Jeff and Marty!

Looks like you guys had a great day!

It's been unbelievably cold here in the Tulsa area the past few days.
It keeps going back and forth... Saturday was 72, Sunday evening 28!

                      I didn't get to take advantage of Saturday's 72...
Connie stayed on the porch under cover while I ran errands.

Thanks for the pics, and giving me the fever again! Lol.

It was too windy for a good ride Saturday anyway Bob. See my post in "What did you do to your bike today".

He was, but I think there was enough gap between us that the truck wasn't an issue for him. I could see the driver pulling on the wheel, but he couldn't clear my lane before I got there. Jeff was close enough to be a good witness.
