    Mid Winter Run

A bunch of us have been getting together every year for a 'Hard Barstards Round the Mountain Run'. This year was number 30.

It's a 300k round trip round Black Mountain and usually attracts around 80 bikes. Due to the price of gas, this year was a little down with only 60 but it was still a good turn out. Last week there was a foot of snow on the road at the top of the hill, this week there was truckloads of grit

This was 9:00am this morning at the take off point, waiting on everyone to turn up. Only 17 bikes in this pic but there was 22 more in the car park across the road. Unfortunately my camera (i phone) went haywire and wouldnt take any more. (even a hard reset didnt fix it. Apple Crap)

Temp never got above 6 degrees all day and it was 0 when the photo was taken. I'll be thawing out tonight and most of tomorrow

(I cheated this year and took the XJR. XS is resting her weary bones.)

Thats why it's called the 'Hard Barstards' run.
