I had to put that in the title. This has to be the first time my gas mileage has ever been this good!
We weren't sure if he was going to be able to make it... but he at least showed up to see John and I off.
The ever amazing WonderBoy!
(otherwise known as HobbyMan)
Unfortunately, he couldn't attend the rally due to other obligations, but we expect to see him at the next gathering as he will then be an MMA graduate and will be returning to Texas. Congratulations Andrew!
We arrived at Keoki's Friday night after a leisurely trip south with little traffic and not much stupid on the road... but it was too dark for pics... sooooo
Saturday, the fun began... for us anyway.
Here is the Saturday morning welcoming committee...
(Yeah, I posted this guy's pic twice... but WHAT a sweetheart!)
John Hughes, his son Dylan and Keoki began the merriment with "Little Ranger" on Friday. More about this later...
but here is Dylan with "Little Ranger" so you can start anticipating now...
John decided it was about time he did the fuse panel mod... Good thing too, as one of his glass fuses was barely attached to the panel at this point.
Keoki is observing John's handywork... or sniffing the glue on his hand... not really sure...
John Hughes and his son, Dylan, transformed Dylan's wheelie machine...
(Nope... didn't make you wait too long)
Into an actual motorcycle...
It was truly great seeing Dylan this into bikes...
but even greater to see father and son working together...
Keoki marking territory...
and then it was Dylan's turn to play with the forks...
More arrivals... Incubus, his wife and son (who was riding a Shadow)
and now for something completely different...
A friend of Keoki's and his buddy made these using Volkswagon engines...
They actually looked pretty comfortable and definitely had enough room for the kitchen sink, the bathroom sink and the bathtub.
Fastest bike... last to arrive
Hippy Dave and his lovely bride Cindy...
After they arrived, we sat around for a bit...
Dylan, Terry, Incubus' wife (whose name has just escaped me... I blame the heat), Keoki - webbcraft2150, his bud, John - John and John - jwhughes
2 Johns, no waiting - my John will forever regret telling me that joke
lol
Dave - Hippy Dave, Cindy - SimplyCindy and Patrick - Incubus
Okay... time to ride...
We headed downtime to check out the wildlife, but since it was still daylight and all the freaks come out at night... we had to make due...
There was more action on the volleyball court than downtown... except for an interesting diversion down one street.
I wish I had the set up to take pictures while I'm on the bike... but I don't... so no pic of the girl with the visible thong sitting on the back of the Harley... I understand that there was no seat for her to sit on. Apparently, I was too enthralled by her thong to notice she was sitting on the rear fender...
lol
We found a shady spot to park the bikes and get something cold.
(It was frikkin HOT outside)
The family pic
John, Dave, Cindy, Dylan, Keoki and John
(Look! John bookends!)
Keoki had a backup bike... but the battery was dead so it wouldn't have done much good.
Intermission
