  • sun diego back roads 6/6

Went for a nice ride yesterday left my around 11 and headed up to valley center to soccer4m house and checked out his stable. And tried to get his latest project running but it needs a little more Carb work. Then headed out to lake wolford to grab some lunch. Then mike took us up this bumpy dirt road to check out a 200 year old farmhouse and it was pretty cool. Then we finally hit the road for a nice run out the 76 to lake henshaw and then to Santa ysabel. Stoped for a snack at the market there and then a quick run home down the 78 to the 67 and then down he 15 to get home at 8 a nice rune but only logged 140 miles. My bike ran a little rich but ok and almost managed to scrub off the colored lines off my new spitfires.

That was a lot of fun, Garth, Mike, good ride!

I think I got back somewhere around 8:30 or 9:00 o'clock last night; don't remember exactly because I really wasn't very much into time when I got home and I went to sleep right after I made sure the XS was tucked away safely in the garage.

Sounds good to me, I know you're moving back east pretty soon so what do you want to plan for a SoCal ride? Maybe people closer than 29 Palms, San Diego and Escondido could show up, too, that'd be different; should probably start a new topic in the Rallies section or the Lo-Cal XSives group instead of here in Ride Reports though.

Would be hard for me to do...being in the Marine Corps i get to ride on weekends and then to and from work every day...sometimes a short ride at night but nothing really fantastic, just the cool evening breeze in my face!...
