Up Around The Bend

Just got back from Manitoulin. A great time and a great ride. Scenic and lots of twisties. The island is biker heaven. The folks there are super friendly and polite.
Dan (ManitoulinLad) was a superb host and his wife's coleslaw and deserts were best the I've ever had.
If you are ever in that neck of the woods, take the time to tour the island. It is a northern paradise. It's on my schedule for next year.

We all had a fantastic time . The trip around the island was terrific. The food was fantastic and I have to agree with Big Daddy the coleslaw was the best I have tasted.
I also wanted to thank Bullet (Dan) for riding up to Tobermory with us a 3 hour ride . Hope you can make it all the way next year.

Yeah that photo was Bridal Veil Falls. The high one showing the boats at the docks was in the town I work in called Gore Bay. Oh there was an actual lighthouse around there that I had the boys drive up to - but I was too stund to think they wanted to take a pic of it & if they wanted a tour inside it. Instead I stated - hey boys there's a lookout we will stop at next, & I took off. Oh well I never said I actually had a 'tour guide licence hehe. Next time I'll let them check it out if they want - I forget when I live here that somethings you don't see everyday. Like a fridge from the late sixties that sits outside all the time with beer in it. Oh course the closure for the thing is a padlock hasp - no lock though. The 'Squares" or whatever it was, was a hit. I'm sure we can get more 'slaw' for next year & You never know maybe a couple pies if I'm a nice boy. I apprieciete everyone coming up & lettting me check out other xs1100's - a rariety for me, & Mo's stories were great - always had a new funny one. It'll be great next year to hear some more. A good time was had & still 1/2 more of the island to see next year. Oh & everyone enjoyed the 'cowboy" steaks- Dan

this was a great weekend ! and i,m in for next year ,,glad to see my friends James ,,rick ,,Dave and Dan! the food was good the camp was a wonderful place to stay ,,thank you Dan and Dan,s wife for that! ride safe Dan ,,,slow mo!
