  • My squeezed in ride

After a week of heavy rain and wind, and not being able to ride we finally got a day to get out and ride on. Didn't go too far, as I wasn't sure how long the weather would hold so I only went for a short 40 miler.

I ran up north of town and then followed the river back down to town. I made a stop where I5 crosses the river and stopped to take a few pictures.

You can see how high the river is.

Hope you guys don't lose any levees, that town is on the list as one of the most likely in the US to have catastrophic flooding if there is a major levee failure.

Wow! Green grass!! I haven't seen any of that for months! That river looks like it's about to burst! A few more cups of water, and that road will be a new riverbed!

Yeah it's gettin a bit full. But the rain has slacked off for a bit, so maybe we will survive after all.

I know what you mean. Got the bike out last Sunday, temps were in the high 30 deg F range, (38 deg I think) and went for a ride. Not much, less than an hour, went over my favorite local twisty road and back. It was nice to get out!

          It snowed that night.
