The photos were taken this past Sunday from Hyner View, which was also a stop during the 2003 rally. It was cooler that spring and no hang gliders were flying.

Among my happy memories of that rally : If you bought a "large " bottle of beer you had to go outside to drink it while a small could be consumed in the bar. We sat on the patio a lot Mr SixtySix arranged Breakfast at the airport on Sunday morning. Brent Len & I went for a ride while most went to see a movie 1st and last time I trailered to a rally

Yes. A good rally! Thanks again Phil for leading me on that Saturday ride. TC led me south and got me accross Penn MUCH quicker than when I rode in. and I rode my XS1100.
No more trailering?? Perhaps I was a good influence on you.

Well I was there 3 times last year and even posted pics in a thrad about my last ride for the year...Hyner View is sooo cool and the road going up there is quite narrow for a two way road and winds around some real tight corners to boot. I even suggested this as an XSEast destination before I knew that it had already been done...but let me tell you there are sooooo many great roads that if there wer to be a repeat XSEast there I could assure you of plenty of roads you have not been on. I even know a couple of ST-Owners who are local to the area and their suggestions for routes are just excellent...OFC someone will chime in to say we ought to go to the Somerset area of PA to see the memorial and such,but I would not mind coming back here. We could base in Wellsboro or there is a campground that welcomes motorcycles and has cabins to rent as well.....JAT or 2
