  • St. Louis local ride

Ok, I know this was a poor excuse for a "ride" but it's the first time I actually went looking for a place to ride, just for the heck of it. I found a site that lists roads/rides in Missouri and rates them by type. I wanted one I could go for on Saturday without having to ride for several hours to get there. So, I found a nice spot close to home, and went for a short, 8-mile ride (after actually getting there, anyway). The place is called Wild Horse Creek Road. It's located next to the local community airport, and is a nice, slow (30-40mph) compilation of sweeping turns. Most of it follows along the creek, and would make a great place for a picnic, and a few spots were completely covered by a tree canopy. It was really nice, and there were a few REALLY nice houses along the road too. Would be a nice place to live!!
