  • Mistress of all she surveys

    No... not me... this time...

It's Spring break for our kids... and with John being out of commission and my daughter's riding partner being unavailable... it was up to me to shoulder the burden of Spring rides... ahem... yeah... a REAL burden...

Tuesday I took off with the oldest of the twins... We ended up doing 200 miles of mostly new roads (to us anyway)... Lots of twists and turns that made a VERY enjoyable ride for both of us... but no pics...

Today... I took out the youngest of the two... We backtracked the ride I had done with her sister with a couple of noteworthy exceptions...

    This being the main one:

With the road leading up to it looking every bit like this the entire way:

and a shot of our daughter trying not to get caught by the camera:

(she'll hate me if she ever sees this pic... lol)

and this is her addition to our pics from the day:

Like I said... Mistress of all she surveys... this was the highest point in the area... okay... it's the ONLY high point in the area... lol

She had a great time! and so did Mom....

Looking forward to many more in the coming weeks...

          Kat,
OK so now I remember, Texas is Spanish for FLAT!
Boy, it doesn't seem that long ago I met your family, and the "little" one is getting bigger!
Thanks for the pictures, and the write up. I know for all the rides I do, I should write something. I just tend to defer that to experts, like you!

Nice. Next your daughter will be wanting a Night Hawk 750....

Both my kids now in their 20s, don't ride with me anymore. Enjoy it while you can!

That's just polite speak for... you don't talk as much as I do... lol

and don't be fooled by the appearance... it really is a high point here... I'll bet we were up a good... I don't know... 40 feet above sea level...

Yeah... the kids all kind of shot up in the last year... This one spent all summer coming up and comparing her height to mine until finally, she was actually taller than me... Good thing she only did it once or twice a day or she would have gotten there much more quickly... lol
Her sister was about a month behind her in passing me in height... and the youngest is quickly approaching...

Yeah... I know... the Mom part of me thinks
but the other part of me says "WooHoo! Let's ride!"
