  • Sebring to Bradenton Fl

Since I am on spring break, I decided to check on my deceased mother-in-laws house since it is about to be put on the market. The ride from Sebring to Bradenton is quite uneventful but it was an opportunity to take a nice ride. The morning was nice at about 67 degrees at 8:00 a.m. My 11special started right up and it sounded like it wanted to go. Pulled out of the driveway and turned onto hwy66 west to the big city of Zolfo Springs about 25 miles. The bike was running smooth and little to no traffic. Turned west on hwy64 to Bradenton and 56 uneventful miles later I get into Bradenton and hit construction traffic. Stop and go for about 3 miles and I was afraid of overheating. Got through that and continued on to Grammy's house in San Remo Shores. After 2 1/2 hours of pulling weeds, I mount up and head home. Clouds are starting to clump together and turn dark. The rain did hold off till I got about 3 miles from home. It was not a hard rain but enough to get my legs wet. I don't know how people ride without a windshield. I have a Plexifairing 3 and I can't imagine riding without it. Overall it was a nice 180 mile round trip. I have to enjoy it while I can . In July I will be relocating to Wyoming where the winter months are not very suitable for riding year round like they are hear in sunny south central Florida. Happy riding!!!!!

Did you go into Cortez for the beach ride? My brother was stationed there with the Coast Guard until last year.

I use to live up in Pinellas County from 02-06.
