Maxim Phil of Toronto Canada rode about 800 miles in late March '08.

I enjoyed that part of the trip. Weather was good etc. Spring has arrived in that area of the country.

Curious if I am correct or not....the photos of the bridge, is that the bridge near Blount Island passing over the St. John's River between Jax and Mayport?

Bridge is on 17 just south of Brunswick Ga.
Scenic drive is in Darien, Ga and hwy 99 scenic byway also hwy 57 and Vidalia, GA

It was warm in afternoon. Cool before dawm going to Jacksonville.

Hi Don,
I noted the similarity when Brent & I stopped to take pictures. I crossed the St Johns river on "your" bridge the evening before.

Some of you may not pick up on the hint in above quote. Brent left Lilburn at 2:30am to join me in Jacksonville for breakfast and lead me back to Atlanta. Thanks Brent. Much appreciated. Thanks also for the pictures I already regret not taking more photo stops on the rest of the trip. It sure felt like more than 800 miles from Miami via Sebring, from Stuart, to Fernandina Beach FL on A1A before crossing into Georgia for more back roads.
Friday was a day trip in teh Fayetteville area and west which included some Brunswick Stew and Georgia BBQ for lunch.
Dinner with Marty & Robin at the Vortex in Atlanta with some interesting bikes outside and cold beer inside
Next leg is; to the Poconos for XSEast 2008

You both must have passed nearby my brother. He is stationed at King's Bay, GA with the USCG.

Fernandina has a nice country inn in the town. You sit at long tables along with other guest you don't even know. Everyone passes around the bisquits, chicken, whatever just like a Thanksgiving meal. Very good food and a good price. Wish I could remember the name of the place.

Hi Dads11special,
I was out at the track for the 12 hour race for 4 days. (Yes it takes 4 days to watch a 12 hour race) Been many times but this was the first time on the bike. you should have joined us for the ride to Key West back in January. A few of us followed Brent to the end of the road
