I found this forum after buying a 1980 XS850 last summer. I had owned a 1979 XS750 many years ago and wanted to get back on a Yamaha Triple. The 850 was on eBay in the D.C. area - I live in Houston. Back in '81 and '82, I owned a 1981 Yamaha 850 Special and loved it. Great bike!
