Somebody really wanted those mufflers. I had bid $175 and got outbid. I thought I would snipe them but they had a higher max bid than I did. Anybody got a spare right side Jardine #8102R? muffler they want to part with?

      Mufflers

I have a 80g and the stock sytem finally rusted away. I looked into the Harley muffler swap but did not like the look. I bought a set of "extra long" mufflers from JC Whitney. A couple of adapters from Pep Boys and some minor modifications to the stock hangers and I have a very stock looking system will a acceptable exhaust note. They also offer some shorter mufflers for you guys with the Specials. When I get the digital camera figured out, I want to post some pictures. This IS a very good alternative to Mac systems as long as your header pipes are in good shape. You can catch these mufflers on sale for about 50 each.
      When a 10 isn't enough, get a 11. 80g Hardbagger

I just happened to stumble across a set of used OEM pipes for a Midnight Special. I was parusing some salvage yards here looking for a Jardine muffler to replace my damaged one. I wandered into a building with a bunch of bike stuff, and back in a dark corner I just happened to spy what looked like a set of pipes for a special. Upon further inspection, (cleaning) it was derterimined that were supposed to be black. They are in pretty decent shape, and the price is $200. It looks like Il'll be going back to stock exhaust for a while as I attempt to find a Jardine muffler for an 80 SG.

Don't forget to check your local Yamaha dealer for an exhaust. Mine had a new Mac 4 into 2 and they let me have it for $200.00.

I've been buying a lot of parts there for my '78 YZ400, '81 SR500 and now the Eleven. I guess they want to keep me coming back. The parts guy told me they got it cheap from some kind of dealer buyout and it had been sitting around for years. I think they just wanted to move it.
