    Fram filters

Advanced Auto has XS1100(ch6002) fram oil filter kits in stock for under $5.00. Ths kit includes the filter and both Orings. They also have a large selection of spark plugs at reasonable prices! Save big compared to cycle shops or dealers.

I have found that Auto Zone store are now carrying STP brand mc filters. That have the same basic p/n as the Fram, and the O rings are included. The printed paper included in the plastic wrap with the O rings is the same as what's in the Fram filter, so one would tend to believe that they are from the same manufacturer, they look to be the same physically, and much less expensive than at a bike shop.

The STP filters I bought have the O-rings but they were the wrong size.
Moot point for me now as my next oil change I'm installing my spin-on filter adapter.

That's strange. The one I bought had the correct O rings, and it had the correct pn for them in the bag they were in. What do we expect from people who earn a buck or two a day?

The big O ring in the Fram has always been the correct one for me. Even the small one has been correct for the bolt/bypass valve. Maybe you just happened to get one that was mispackaged?

The Fram was ok, the STP had the wrong O-rings (for me)

On fleabay (sorry, Geezer couldn't resist), picked up a lot of ten Frams for $30. All rings incl. I figure I've got about 5 years' worth.
