  • Luci Inflatable Solar Lantern - MPOWERD

This is a great little light. I got it for the 2017 Colorado rally but I've been using it around the house to see if it's worth packing it.

The Luci does have a battery charge indicator and it's waterproof. I haven't dunked it in fuel or oil yet but so far I have dropped it, kicked it, stepped on it and tripped over it: It's worth the trip.

    Sorry
    VERY INTERESTING UND UNUSUAL.
The clear plastic inflatable part beams the light out from the LEDs like a glass globe making the light spread out and fill the area, good idea.
The rubbery plastic part must stay clean and polished or it will get to look like foggy headlights on an older car.
How long will that clear rubbery plastic last ?

      Light Up Someone's Life

The eBay seller you linked is in China. I can't really tell which lantern is for sale on the page, there're a couple of Lucis, a rectangular lamp, a lighted pillow, and a couple more.

Some of the lamps have the plastic already fogged/diffused to give a softer and more mellow light. Eventually, the regular Luci I have will diffuse too as the plastic ages but it'll probably outlive me. If it doesn't, I'll grab another one and light up another life somewhere.

There are lights from two different companies, LuminAID and MPOWERD.

MPOWERD makes several versions of Luci and some other lights, one of them is frosted because the customers asked for it, they were wrapping the lanterns with various things to diffuse the glare from the LEDs and make it more comfortable.

One of the LumenAID lanterns you linked is a frosted rectangle, I think it's their Spectra:-

Here's the one I use, totally solar powered (or USB charged) and makes a great glow plus it's a place to store things to keep them dry or to use as a water bottle in a pinch. Collapses for travel and held in small size by rotating the handle/strap around the bottom.
            Blue, yellow or white.

Company website, but you can find them all over the internet to buy. http://www.seattlesportsco.com/firew...ti-bottle.html

That is totally cool, I want one of those too.

I don't know about hanging a water bottle from the ceiling of a $25 tent but if I can find a place to stash it then it'll make a good storage container.

You can set the bottle in a corner and it will cast a nice glow. The bottle might weigh 6 or 7 oz in its empty form so hanging from the center of your tent shouldn't be a problem. I have never used it as a water bottle, I have nalgene water bottles for that, however the fact it can be used as one in a pinch is nice.
