This may have been posted before, but I'm just too lazy to look.
While browsing through a BMW R1150R forum, someone posted this site for checking the safety of helmets....
I thought it was interesting because the higher price DOES NOT always mean a better/safer helmet...

You can sort by rating (1-5 Stars), then hit the search button and then sort by price by clicking at the "Price" column at the top of the list...
There is also a little movie that tells how the helmets are tested.
Once you choose the helmet, you can see a graphic of how the helmet (top, side, back) rated with colors to show where the rating is on different parts of the helmet.
I realize that this site is in Great Britain, but they have heads over there too...
I hope you find it as interesting as I did...
