  • Fuel tank treatment: paint stripping company

Hi guys, hey here a while back (year??? maybe two?) I remember there was a guy that posted about a place where he sent his fuel tank to have it stripped down to bear metal and he posted results and it was pretty excellent. I think the bike he did it on was something like an XT500 or an SR something; anyway, I saved the link knowing that I'd need that someday and NOW is the day, but this past summer my home computer ate the bullet and I didn't have any cool back-up like 'Mosey' or 'Corbonite' or whatever so now sets my old computer holding the info that I can't retrieve, but I know that post was here on this site, but I can't remember or find it.

Do any of you guys remember that post, or the place that I'm (so very vaguely) talking about? If you can hook a brother up, I'd be very grateful!

    Thanks!

Try posting something in the main forum where everyone will see it, not everyone checks the other areas very often.

      Radiator Shop

Alot of radiator shops can take your tank and strip/clean it completely inside and out. Even coat the inside if needed. Might check your local places.
