  • Fork seals at bikebandit do not fit.

I ordered some new fork seals last year from Bike Bandit for my 1980 XS1100 Midnight Special and they are the wrong ones. The outside and inside diameter were both at least 1mm to large if not 2mm. I ordered them for a 1980 yamaha xs1100lg, I know that's my bike, I'm not even sure if there would be a difference between a standard or special or whatever. I have the air forks if that makes a difference. I had to reuse my old ones which disappointed me a little bit. I cleaned them up as good as I could and applied some SP3 grease to them to hopefully detour the leaking just a little while until I can find the right ones. The old leaky ones had more resistance sliding up the tubes than the new ones. They've sent me the wrong stuff for a couple different bikes of mine a few too many times now, I think I'll start going elsewhere for my parts.

The part number on the package is 429014. It also says right below that "FORK SEALS 37X49X8/9,5".
"The Hooligan" XJ1100, Virago Gauge Pods, Screaming Eagle Mufflers, K&N Filter, hand made rear fender, side covers, and solo seat, round bar conversion, small headlight, tail light, and cat eye turn signals, chip fuses, rewired the right way.

Not me so far. I have a 1994 KX250 that I restored. I ordered all the engine seals for it and they got 5 of them wrong. The engine gasket kit doesn't include all those little seals inside the engine, you have to go through the schematics and make sure to order them all. I know I didn't order wrong cause I went back and verified everything I ordered, they sent me stuff that had nothing to do with anything on my bike. I think their warehouse people might have slopped up their supply. I just ordered from them again yesterday so I guess I'm not to upset. Can't beat their selection and shipping speed.

I have bought from them quite abit. I have a suzuki "woods" bike and they are the only place I even have found a few parts for. Yard Dogg, if you still need those fork seals I got a set Id send ya. I have a standard so no use for them.

I'll take em. I popped out my old seals and cleaned em up, they didn't look too bad so I greased em and threw em back in. I used the springs out of the new seals I had cause the old ones looked like someone had messed em up, could have been me. They are sealing for now, we'll see tomorrow if they hold air.
