I purchased some Bluemagic Headlight Lens Restorer ($9.00cdn) from Cdn. Tire to try and clear up my cars plastic lens. It worked pretty well.
I thought I might try it on a small area of my Hellfire bike shield. The shield is old and had a lot of spiderwebbing, light pits and scratches. Seemed to not make it any worse so I did the full shield front and back. The stuff worked better on the shield than on the cars headlight lens. Very impressed. It looks like a new shield and did not affect the light smoke finish.
Don't get any on your paint (contains petroleum distilates) or in your eyes.
Also don't use your SWMBO's favorite clean cloth as the blue colouring won't wash out easily. No sense having THAT fight again.
