  • Honda magna front brake problem

    I have a 1985 honda magna 700...both front brake calipers are sticking ..almost to the point of locking up the wheel...I have taken apart both calapers and cleaned them..bleed the brake system..seens like nothing i do helps....anyone here know anything about these bikes..and what i could do to fix the problem?...would the problem be in the master cylinder?

    Sounds like the "spooge hole" problem the XS's have.

      or a clapsing hose or a expanding hose or a problem in the master cylinder that causes pressue to build up even when the handle aint touched

        Check the MC

        I would say that your Mc is plugged up. As the prevous post states there should be two small holes in the bottom of the MC resivoir. The one hole is easily seen the other is a tiny little hole that is easy to miss. Make sure both holes are cleaned out and brake fluid travels threw them and you should be in good shape. This should fix the problem!!!
