    Can someone explain how to set the valve timing on a xs 750 please

    Best you get a clymers or some sort of service manual and follow it. And DONT PHOOK IT UP! Your engine really can tear itself apart.

      If I remember correctly there are 2 dots or lines in the cam gears that line-up with the cam bosses. Make sure that crank is on #1 cyl at TDC.
      I went through this when I replaced SWMBOs XS750 cam chain but that was 3 years ago. Manual was sold with the bike.
