  • Need parts for 750 Virago

I need twist grip, pipeing from carb to frame both sides, side covers left and right, battery box and hold down, headlight lens,
seat cover, and all the bolts nuts, screws, that go with these parts for 1981 xv750h Virago v-twin made 12-80. Just got bike and these parts are missing. Very nice looking bike but needs lot of tender love and care has set outside for maybe 6 or 7 years. Any help with parts and working on this bike will be greatly appreciated, also will any other year or size work for these parts.
Almost forgot need tires 100/90/19 and 5.10/16, good used or cheap new ones. Front tire is cupped bad and rear has big slash
in thread will not hold air. Just need some decent tires to make sure it runs good before i invest in some good rubber. Can anyone tell me about get up and go, also top speed for this bike?

my brother has a 1983 virago 920 and there is a website just for the viragos and here is one i found that would be able to help you out and i will put up a few others that can help you out
    http://www.viragoownersclub.org/index_main.html

that is the best one out there for the virago

well as far as get up and go is i dont know for the 750 but for the 920 it would beat my xs1100 to the 1/8 mile at the track and then it was all over i would pass him and he would see tail lights and as far as a time goes the 920 is a mid 14 to low 15 second bike, and top speed we never have done a top speed on his bike but i am sure on the 920 it is about 115-125 and i am sure the 750 is alittle lower then that

          parts

I found 2 people on the other web site that had parts for sale.
I e-mailed them both and one answered me but forgot to send prices. E-mailed him back for price. That is about all that i have heard. That was on 11/01. Still looking for help and parts.
Will be working on this bike and 82 XJ1100 trans and clutch this winter, so will be busy all winter. Also need plastic emblem that goes around switch and hides handlebar clamps and has 1100 on it for the 82 XJ1100.

I had an 82 750 Virago, full dress with factory bags and fairiing. Got it for free (not running) and sold it for 1200. I did have to clean and adjust the carbs and put in a new battery. The starters on these are total crap and kind of difficult to replace. Mine sounded absolutely horrible when I sold it but served the guy that bought it for another year and a half until he sold it. I did not care for the look and feel of the bike, but it ran like a top after the starter got done grinding.
