  • New Suzuki 6 banger - Stratosphere

    Check this out!

    Suzuki Stratosphere

    Even has an Auto-Shift!

The auto-shift mechanism with clutch lever embodies Suzuki’s philosophy of placing value on the joy of manually operating the bike.

An auto-shift mechanism, containing a fully mechanical clutch, requires no clutch lever. However, Suzuki decided to keep the clutch lever.

Riders can choose between manual control and automatic operation to suit each riding situation and personal taste. During rides in automatic operation, the system shifts to manual control whenever the clutch lever is operated, allowing detailed, manual clutch control.

Suzuki’s philosophy is to preserve riding enjoyment by keeping rider-assisting automatic systems from “doing too much”.

    Anybody want one?

    A great looking bike!

That M109-R Boulevard model is a real looker, too.

Well, it is a "concept model". I think I'll wait until they have it in a tourer version....

        Jerry,

Did you read about the detachable bags? Thats touring enough for me.....OK it would be nice if they were actually going to make it . I have looked at it a few times now and I think it would be a great bike, except I can't stand the way the front end/lights/windshield look. Kind of like it does not belong with the rest of the bike.

i was thinking more of the seaing position rather than the bags; have always liked the 'upright' style but this one looks more crotch rocket. Don't know how that would play over several hundred continious miles.

Front end (headlight) looks a bit funky but I don't mind that so much. Over the last couple years I've test-ridden a couple Suzuki models and have been impressed with the handling and brakes. Seems to me they are more designed as a package rather than just components bolted together if you know what I mean.

Handles seem to be up a bit, higher than the seat, not exactly a crotch rocket. The headlight is probably one of those funky touches they put on for the show, one of those concept things you never see outside the show.

I like the tucked in exhaust, keeps it out of the way in the curves.

                Uh huh, POWER RANGERS?

Sure, I might sound a bit, uh, traditional, but doesn't it look a little like something from POWER RANGERS? Maybe it's really going to change into a Toyota pickup like a Transformer!
