  • HD Road King Classic 2005

Just spent two days on a Road King Classic and just loved the way that it handles. Smooth and quick, relatively in comparison to the XJ.

It has one feature that I would love to see on my XJ. I found that the stomp shifter feature is awesome. Has anyone created one that would work for the XJ or XS?

Those were made to fit an XS/XJ. No problem.
A friend had a road king... nice and wide. The only problem was... idle was at bout 5000 rpm. After some cursing it would fall to a more... tolerable level after a few minutes so he could ride off without exploding his gearbox.
Boy, your XJ must be really fu*ked up if you can compare it to a hardley drivable. I'd suggest a valve/carb/camchain/timing session with some suspension upgrades. My 78E is totally... well... she aint in sync no more (leaking forks, shocks, exhaust needs some modifications for nicer torque, carbs needed a sync bout 5000km ago etc) and no hardley can touch me!

If it doesn't have an engine, it's not a sport, it's only a game.
