Well I felt as if I was betraying my fellow brethren of the XS/Xj 1100 Assosiation. I tried to register on the XS650 forum to get some info on the proper float adjustment for a 70 XS650. It would not let me through the registration process. I guess ya got to be more computer savy then I. Anyway, With the wealth of knowledge here, I know for a fact that someone can help me out.
The problem is I don't have specs on the proper float adjustment for a 1970 XS650.
I've adjusted them initially at 25mm from the outmost top portion of the floats, to the carb housing ( gasket in place ). I don't think that this is right because the fuel does not stop running out of the venturaries even with the bike running. Fuel just keeps flowing out like Niagra Falls. I've cleaned em up and nothing is sticking. Everything is smooth. The bike runs great, Idles great, and accelerates great. It's just that dam fuel won't stay were It's supposed to. I could adjust them in one mm increments but I hate to have to pull the carbs many, many times.
