  • Kawasaki KLX650

I got deal I couldn't pass by; so now I own a '93 Kawasaki KLX650 [dual sport] with 22,240 miles on her.
She does have a high rpm carburator issue. I'm guessing the high speed needle-jet is partially obstructed. At very high rpm she'll stutter/won't rev any higher. Other than tires; that's her only major issue except maybe one fork may be seeping oil, broken taillight lens and a broken turn signal lens.
Are there any "gremlins" associated with these bikes?? Any thing else I need to address before she's trustworthy? [besides the usual]
It came with heat-wrap around the exhaust header and a cool E.A.R. , Supertrapp muffler with removable shims.
Are there any associated web sights for these bikes?

You may want to adjust the timing on the cam chain. My 850 was acting up like you described, stutering/hesitating at high RPMs until I replaced the chain. It pulls nice an steady all the way to WOT now.
