xs650 message board?????

Is there an XS650 message board similar to this one someplace on the web? I have been working with XS650 carbs quite a bit lately and wonder if there is a "Service Fuel Level" specification. I already have the factory shop manual and all of them use a float level measurement (24mm or 27.3mm depending on model) and I find this type measurement inaccurate at best. The problem is that there is no drain nipple as are on most carbs but a large bolt (8mm) on the bowl for access to the main jet and draining.

Hey WG! Can't you use a float bowl that is from a carb set that uses the little drain valve on the 650 carbs?

There was a board set up like this one, but I don't know if it's still active. It was at http://www.xs650garage.com. Many of those members moved, but I don't remember where it went.

There is a very active email group. http://www.micapeak.com The group is yam650@micapeak.com. There are experts there just waiting to answer your questions. The down side is that the group sometimes generates a lot of email.
